The Oilon Group takes care of your online privacy protection

Our goal is to create an easy-to-use network environment, which takes into account our customers’ rights and expectations in every possible situation.

In our privacy policy we describe, how the Oilon Group (hereafter “Oilon”) collects, processes and uses data you provide us with while using our website. We also describe how Oilon protects your data according to Finnish privacy protection legislation.


Contractual relation between partners / third parties

On our web pages we are at some points (e.g. logging in) cooperating with different service providers.

When using the services of a service provider, the users of the web pages enter a contractual relationship with the service provider, which is based fully on that service provider’s terms of agreement. The full legal and contentual responsibility of services offered on the partner companies’ web pages, is the partner companies’ whose web pages you are visiting through our website.

Other than bodily harm and health damage resulting from Oilon’s operations, Oilon is responsible only if the harm results from Oilon’s deliberate action, gross negligence or negligent violation of essential contractual obligation. Other liability for damages does not exist. This, however, does not pertain to regulations according to the Finnish Product Liability Act and other legislation. In case the violation of essential contractual obligation results from negligence, Oilon’s liability is limited only to such damages, which were rationally predictable at the time of the conclusion of the agreement.

Oilon is liable for its partner companies’ activities only insofar as related to their operations as its indirect representatives and does not guarantee the availability of services provided through links. In this case, Oilon is also not responsible for ensuring that the partner company provides its services in accordance with legal regulations.



The content of Oilon’s website is protected by copyright. In order to copy data, especially texts, texts parts or picture material, you need a pre-authorized permission from Oilon.


Applicable law

To all information, its use and all activities related to Oilon’s website applies solely Finnish legislation. Place of jurisdiction is the District Court of Lahti in Finland.

We store and process your personal information only to the extent that is necessary to fulfill the existing contractual and legal obligations between us. If in addition we want to use your information, to alert you of current offers, for example, we separately ask you for your permission. This permission you can cancel at any time. For example, you can send the cancellation of the permission through the web shop or through the contact information.

In this case we will immediately stop the use of your information provided earlier. Please note that the cancellation process might take some workdays after the arrival of the cancellation.


Exchange of information

In addition to the uses described above, Oilon communicates your information to third parties, who are involved in the commissioning or processing of your order. For example, if you make your order through our web shop, we will provide your order information to our partner companies that deal with your order and deliver products to you. Information is provided only in the case that it is required for order processing and delivery. We provide personal information to third parties also in the event that the law requires us to do so.

Automatically collected information and data through Oilon’s website

We welcome everyone to visit our website free of charge, to use it and to explore the products we offer on the website. When you visit our website, we record your IP address (i.e. your computer’s internet address, not your e-mail address) and other general usage data to evaluate which parts of our website you visit and for how long.

The collected data is combined with other usage data of all our website visitors in order to determine the number of visitors, individual pages visited etc. The collected data is grouped together and used only for internal purposes.
